Ready, Set...Wait

June 16th, June 9th, June 11th, July 10th, June 26th.
Within the last week, we were told each and everyone of these dates would be the opening day for our office. It looks like June 16th is going to be the actual day after all - kind of. Kind of - as in the first day we'll see our own patients, but it won't be at our office - it'll be out of a hotel room.

Aahh the joys of our life continue. After an amazingly quick buildout process, being told to get ready to "rock & roll" a week earlier than planned, and working with fury to make that happen, everything came to a screeching halt. Apparently fire alarms and sprinkler systems are important to a business and the fact that our office didn't have the correct ones posed a problem with a the fire marshall. So our previously official opening day of June 11th came and went - with the hope that we'd be open the next day. Then that came and went. Then came the phone call. It'll be at least 2 more weeks - hopefully you'll be open by the end of June. What!?!?

So, after we cursed a few people out, shed a few tears, and took a much needed nap, we regrouped and came up with our plan of action for the next few weeks. We could always hang out in our office and make it super cute and organized. That sounds good in theory, but really not gonna do much for the overall success of the business and saving people's lives. So, there was plan B (or Z - not sure how many we've gone thru at this point) - find an alternate location. Another chiropractor friend suggested a few different spots; one of which was a hotel room. A hotel room...hmm....I think I know someone that could make that possible. And so, with dad putting in a phone call and a brief tour of a couple of rooms, Room 2o5 at the Country Springs Hotel has become the home of Pinnacle Chiropractic.

Not exactly how we planned on opening and not exactly normal according to most, but then again everyone knows that our life never unfolds as planned or follows a normal path.
