(Almost) Half-Way

May will blend into June next week which means that 2006 is almost half-way over. If we were better at keeping people updated about our life, there would be several posts by now, but since we just started this thing, I'll give you a brief re-cap of 2006 till this point. Most times, there's a few highlights from an entire year, and there's no need to re-cap half of a year...but remember who's blog you're reading - There is never a dull moment in the Frahm household. With that being said, I have affectionaly tagged 2006 as the year of "Travels and Trials."

January

  • Matt started off 2006 with two weeks on a Chiropractic Mission Trip in Bolivia

February (Can we erase February 2006 from the calendar?)

  • February started with a day of love and rememberance for my Aunt, Wendy Baker. Three days earlier, my family was forever changed when Wendy died in a tragic car accident. This was a very sad and difficult day, but the tribute to her life, her faith, and her love for God was amazing. Several months later, I'm still amazed at the strength and faith my entire family has shown during this life-changing experience.
  • The February Friday Curse Continued when both my grandpa and matt's grandpa spent consecutive weekends in the hospital. Both have fully recovered from their incidents and are doing well :)

March

  • We're back with positive highlights here....We did our first triathlon
  • Our attempt to take a relaxing vacation was foiled when our cruise ship did not pass coast guard inspection...This deserves to be its own post so I'll just say - 8 hours in a parking lot

April

  • I officially entered the "real world" and began a job as Marketing Coordinator for Thompson Pump & Manufacturing in Port Orange, FL (again - you'll hear more in another post - I don't want disrupt the highlights with my mumblings)
  • Matt reached the halfway point in chiropractic school - December of 2007 will be here before you know it!

I officially declare you caught up on the roller coaster of our lives and look forward to sharing more adventures, lessons, stories, and other random comments with you. Moving forward....
